Thursday of the Third Week of Advent
December 15, 2016
John the Baptist is one of our main Advent characters.  In the Gospel for this Thursday of the Third Week of Advent (Luke 7:24-30), Jesus states that there is no one born of women who is greater than John, but that even the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John.  What do you think Jesus means by this puzzling statement?  Read this Gospel passage, and spend some time in prayer reflecting upon it.
